About

Calin
I am an Assistant Professor in the Knight Campus at UOregon. My lab develops ways to study and engineer proteins at large scales.

I did my postdoc in the lab of Prof. Sri Kosuri at UCLA, where I developed multiplex gene synthesis techniques. Before that, I did my PhD in the lab of Prof. Cees Dekker at Delft Univeristy of Technology where I carried out research on solid-state nanopores.

My range of interests is quite wide and spans over various fields including protein engineering, biochemistry, microbiology, gene synthesis, antibiotic resistance, synthetic biology, genetic engineering, quantitative biology, biophysics, and DNA nanotechnology.
